Marie Compton
Marie Compton is the Executive Director of Texas Inter-Faith Management Corp, and Asset Manager over all communities managed by TIFMC and 40i Property Management. Marie has over two and a half decades of multi-family experience in property management and operations, construction, development and compliance. Additionally, Mrs. Compton is highly skilled in financial analysis and exercising due diligence. Her previous experience positioned her in locations of multiple markets and submarkets where she oversaw communities throughout Texas regions as well as Louisiana. At Texas Inter-Faith Management Corp., she supervises the Asset Management and Operations of approximately 2500 units, including Budgets, Insurance, Tax Exemptions, Refinancing, Board Governance, Legal Matters, and Grants.
Mrs. Compton also a part of the New Mexico Inter-Faith Board and assists in the overview of the stabilized community’s financials, operations and budget. Furthermore, she assists in the development and application process for our organization’s partners as an initiative to grow affordable housing throughout Texas and New Mexico to fulfil the needs of the communities and assist in a solution to the growing housing crisis throughout the nation.
Chasity Elizondo, MBA
Chasity Elizondo, MBA is CFO for Texas Inter-Faith Housing and Management Corp., and is responsible for all aspects of accounting for each property to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Bank Reconciliations, Monthly Financial Statements, review of Tax Returns and Audits while also supervising Payroll Dept. Mrs. Elizondo has been in finance and accounting since 2008, starting in the healthcare industry. While earning her master’s degree in finance with a special concentration in accounting, she moved into new construction for the Oil and Gas industry as a financial controller supervising multiple entities and audits. Her passion to help people has led her to the Multi-Family Affordable Housing industry and she is anticipating bringing her expertise to Texas Inter-Faith for many years to come.
Regional Support Team
Cheryl Cotton, CAPS, HCCP
Cheryl Cotton, CAPS, HCCP is the Director of Property Supervision, for Texas Inter-Faith Management Corp. Cheryl has been a pivotal part of the Texas Inter-Faith team since 1998. She is responsible for all aspects of overseeing the operations of all 1,436 units in Houston, Texas, 840 units in Dallas, Texas, and 80 units in Aransas Pass. As Texas Inter-Faith continues to grow, she has been a part of the development of operations for 432 units. Ms. Cotton currently holds a certification from the National Association of Home Builders as a Housing Credit Certified Professional and she is certified as an Apartment Portfolio Supervisor. Cheryl gained her CAPS certification in 2017 and her certification for HCCP in 1999.
Ja'net Huling
Ja’net Huling, is the Director of New Mexico Asset Management for 40i Property Managment. Ja’net has been in Affordable Property Management since 1990 and became Certified in Resident Services in 2004. Ja’net has worked for large Management Companies, Public Housing Authorities, and private owners; she also owned and operated her own Management Company. Ja’net is committed to the idea that “housing is a human right” and has a strong background in building and maintaining relationships on a City, State and Federal level – to enhance the opportunities for residents and more affordable housing. Ja’net was recently added to the team to focus on the oversite of operations and to build relationships to facilitate any opportunity to grow our management expertise into New Mexico.
Michelle Green, CAPS
Michelle Green, CAPS is the Regional Supervisor for our Houston Region for Texas Inter-Faith Housing and Management Corp. Michelle has been in Property Management since 1992. Debuting in the Multifamily industry on the Conventional side from 1992, she transitioned into the Affordable Housing side in 2004. Michelle oversees a vast part of monitoring the day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to, on-site training, report reviews with on-site management, property audits, property inspections, and management support.
Kathy Guiterrez
Kathy Gutierrez is the Regional Supervisor for Texas Inter-Faith Management Corp., and is responsible for the Dallas/Fort Worth Region. She began her multifamily career in 2001 working directly for ownership and investment groups leasing and managing conventional apartment communities. During this time, she assisted through the due diligence process of selling and buying multiple properties at a time and transformed financially troubled assets into highly equitable assets. She joined Texas Inter-Faith Management Corp., in 2008, where she first became familiar with Affordable Housing. Since then, she has been proud to be a part of a company whose mission is to serve diverse communities by providing quality affordable housing and initiating programs to families and individuals that promote stability and success.
Yvette Rodriguez, COS, HCCP
Yvette Rodriguez, COS, HCCP is the Compliance Specialist for all entities for Texas Inter-Faith Housing and Management Corp, Brompton Community Housing Development, and Oaklake Community Housing Development. Yvette has worked in Property Management for 20+ year, specializing in Compliance of numerous affordable housing programs regulated by IRS, HUD, and FDIC all regulated under State, County and City Agencies. Such programs include Housing Tax Credits (HTC), HOME, BOND, Affordable Housing Program (AHP), and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). She possesses a comprehensive and technical understanding of Section 42 regulatory compliance and relevant industry trends.
